As part of this initiative, we introduced a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) webinar series, offering accredited content that helps participants deepen their expertise while earning credits for professional recertifications. With strong early interest and growing participation, our CEU series is quickly becoming a go-to resource for ongoing education in RCM.
Meeting the Need for Ongoing Education
We saw an opportunity to go beyond our core services to support our clients’ education and help them navigate complex changes and challenges in the industry. A client survey showed that 83% of respondents were interested in earning continuing education credits through R1. Healthcare professionals want accessible, high-quality education that helps them stay current and maintain their credentials.
A Flexible, Easy-to-Access Program
Since launching, our CEU series has been built with convenience, value and accessibility in mind. We offer credits through complimentary live and on-demand webinars, allowing client employees to participate when it fits their schedules. Attendees of l qualifying live webinars automatically receive a certificate, while those watching on-demand can earn their credit by completing a short quiz. This flexible setup enables professionals to get the education they need when it works for them.
CEUs are credentialed through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), the largest credentialing organization in healthcare. These credits are widely recognized by organizations such as AAHAM, ACMPE, AHIMA and HFMA, making them useful for a variety of certifications, including Professional Coder, Documentation Expert, Revenue Cycle Management Specialist and Revenue Integrity Professional.
Strong Participation and Growing Engagement
In under one year, we have hosted 14 webinars on key topics like regulatory updates, compliance, coding and denials. Each webinar runs for an hour and offers 1.0 CE credit, providing a meaningful learning experience while helping participants maintain their credentials.
As of late February, more than 550 certificates have been downloaded from webinar replays alone – a strong indicator of professional engagement. As we continue adding new webinars to our content library each month, participation is expected to grow even higher.
